A familiar logo is a starting point, not proof that a pair of boxing gloves is genuine. Before you buy, check who is selling them, which model you are getting and what happens if the item does not match its description.

Questions about stamps, stitching and thumb attachments appear in r/fightgear authenticity discussions. Photos can help you ask better questions, but comments on a photo cannot reliably establish a glove's origin.

1. Start with the seller

Look for a clear business identity, working contact details and a written return policy. Ask where the gloves were sourced and whether the seller can provide information supporting that answer. A seller's claim to be an authorized dealer should be checked with the manufacturer where possible.

For example, Twins Special publishes guidance about its official channels. Start from the manufacturer's own website when checking its contact information. A social profile, marketplace badge or brand name in a domain is not enough on its own.

2. Match the exact model

Compare the model code, closure, listed material, color and weight with the relevant brand information. Comparing two different models can create false alarms. If an older colorway or label is no longer listed, ask the manufacturer rather than assuming it is counterfeit.

Our Top King Super Air listing identifies the model and available options. Use that level of detail when comparing any purchase. Product photographs illustrate the listing; they do not authenticate a separate pair being sold elsewhere.

3. Ask for useful photographs

For a resale purchase, request clear photographs of both gloves, the palms, thumbs, wrist closures, labels and packaging, plus the original receipt if available. Ask the seller to explain any mismatch. A receipt helps establish a purchase trail, but it is one piece of evidence, not an absolute guarantee.

Do not rely on a single logo detail, leather smell or stitching comparison as a pass-or-fail test. If uncertainty remains, send the model information and photographs to the brand before paying.

4. Check your options before training

Read the return conditions before buying. When your order arrives, keep the packaging and inspect the gloves against the listing before using them on bags or in class. If something looks wrong, photograph it and contact the seller promptly. Training in the gloves may affect return eligibility.
